Center of Attention
We woke up super early in the morning to head down to the beach to catch the beautiful Hawaiian sunrise for the Coldiron family session.
It was a perfect morning with a cool breeze and waves gently rolling in.
As we started out, everyone was so sweet and understanding, and after we captured a few formals at the beginning I sent them off to go explore and play.
Photographing a large group gets a little bit trickier with trying to make everyone look natural and having fun, but I met the challenge with energy and enthusiasm!
My favorite tip to break the ice quickly? Get them laughing and moving!
And my tactic worked because before I knew it everyone was walking around and just letting moments happen organically, and when they didn't, I just pulled a couple off to the side and gave them a few prompts to get them going.
With this session I knew from the phone call that it was gonna be all about baby. As all babies are, they easily become the center of attention, and I really wanted to show that in this session. I wanted show everyone surrounding him and just loving on him.
We added on a cake smash at the end and a surfboard swim with dad and mom to wash up. Then we finished the adventure with some baby bum photos! It was a perfect end to beautiful morning and a beautiful beach all to ourselves.
